Premium Finnish Sauna Hire Guide

This is the short, practical version of how Lapland Mobile Sauna hire works. It helps you understand delivery and setup, the deposits, private-location rules, sauna safety and collection before you book our cosy 2-4 person Finnish-built sauna.

How Booking Works

• Your website form is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking.
• The renter must be at least 18 years old.
• We check availability, hire length, your delivery distance and whether the planned spot is suitable.
• We confirm the hire price, any delivery mileage, paperwork and delivery time before payment.
• If everything fits, we send a secure payment link for the £75 booking deposit, which secures your date and is deducted from the hire price.
• A booking is confirmed only after written confirmation, the booking deposit and signed hire paperwork.
• The person booking reads and signs a short safety and health declaration, and confirms that everyone who uses the sauna will be briefed on the same guidance. You are responsible for all users in your group, including anyone under 16.
• The remaining balance is due before delivery day.

Delivery, Setup And Collection

• We deliver the sauna, position it on your agreed spot, set it up and complete condition photos.
• We give you a short safety handover and show you how to use the sauna and stove properly.
• The spot needs firm, reasonably level ground, clear access for a car and trailer, and must be off the public road.
• At setup we fit a hitch lock and wheel clamp to the trailer. These security devices must stay in place throughout the hire - our insurance depends on it.
• The sauna must stay where we set it up. Please do not move or tow it during the hire.
• At the end of the hire, we return at the agreed time, complete a quick inspection and take the sauna away.
• Please have the sauna reasonably clean and ready for collection. Excessive cleaning, damage or missing equipment may be charged.

Deposits And The Security Hold

• The £75 booking deposit secures your date and comes straight off the hire price.
• Like a hire car or a holiday let, we place a £500 pre-authorisation on your card around delivery. This is a hold, not a payment - no money leaves your account.
• Once we have collected the sauna and completed the inspection, the hold is released, usually within a few days depending on your bank.
• In the unlikely event of damage, we would only draw on it for the documented cost, and we would talk to you first.

If Your Plans Change

• Cancel 14 or more days before your delivery date and you get a full refund, or a free move to another available date.
• Less than 14 days before delivery, the £75 booking deposit is no longer refundable - but you do not have to lose it: you can put it towards another available date instead.
• If the weather turns or plans shift, just get in touch - rescheduling is nearly always the easy answer.

Using The Sauna Safely

• Use only the supplied or approved firewood. One batch of firewood for one sauna session is included. Extra wood is not included unless agreed before delivery.
• Do not move, modify, overload or tamper with the stove, flue, trailer, safety equipment or sauna structure.
• Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Leave immediately if you feel dizzy, unwell, overheated or uncomfortable.
• A responsible adult must be present whenever the sauna is in use.
• Under-16s may only use the sauna with direct adult supervision. Sauna use is not recommended for children under 10.
• No more than the agreed maximum number of people may be inside the sauna at one time.
• Remove shoes before entering the sauna.
• Sit on a towel while using the sauna.
• Remove jewellery, watches and metal items before entering, as these can become very hot.
• The stove, sauna stones and flue become extremely hot and must not be touched.
• If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave immediately and contact us.
• If anything is not working as it should, contact us immediately and do not attempt to repair it yourself.
• Wipe down the benches after each session using the sauna-safe cleaning products we provide.
• No fireworks, pyrotechnics or similar items at the location during the hire.
• Check and empty the ash pan only as instructed, using the supplied container and taking care with hot ash.
• Keep the sauna locked when it is not in use.

Health And Wellbeing

Sauna use may not be suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, blood pressure issue, mobility concern, medical condition, or have been advised to avoid heat exposure, please seek medical advice before using the sauna.

We describe the experience as warm, calming and relaxing. We do not claim that sauna use treats, cures or prevents medical conditions.

Where The Sauna Can Be Used

• Use the sauna only at the private home, holiday stay, campsite pitch or land agreed before hire.
• The location must be safe, stable and suitable for a wood-fired sauna.
• You must have permission from the property owner or landowner.
• Use the sauna only for the agreed private booking.
• The sauna stays where we set it up. Do not move or tow it during the hire.
