These terms apply to self-hire bookings with Lapland Mobile Sauna ("we", "us", "our"). By confirming a booking, you agree to these terms and to any written hire agreement issued before collection.

1. Service model

Lapland Mobile Sauna currently offers private self-hire only. The customer collects the sauna trailer from the agreed NP26 pickup point, tows it to the agreed private home, holiday stay, campsite pitch or land, and returns it at the agreed time. Exact pickup details are shared after booking.

2. Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed only when we have issued written confirmation and received any required booking payment and signed paperwork.

We may require a refundable damage deposit or card pre-authorisation before collection. Any deduction will be based on documented loss, damage, missing equipment, excessive cleaning, late return or other agreed charges.

Current guide prices are:

• 1 day: £250
• 2 days: £450
• 3 days: £600
• Longer hire / 4+ days: by quote

Prices include one batch of firewood for one sauna session. Extra wood is not included unless quoted or agreed before collection. Late return, excessive cleaning, damage or missing equipment may be charged separately.

3. Eligibility and driver requirements

The renter and approved driver must be at least 25 years old. We may ask for proof of identity, driving licence details, address confirmation and vehicle information before collection.

You must ensure that your vehicle is legally and practically suitable to tow the sauna trailer, which is an unbraked 750kg MAM trailer. You must have a suitable type-approved towbar, a matching registration plate for the trailer, adequate rear view or towing mirrors where required, and any other road equipment needed for safe towing.

The trailer has a Bluetooth-enabled reversing camera to help with manoeuvring, but it does not replace mirrors, safe observation or a banksman where needed.

You must provide proof that your insurance covers towing a hired trailer.

We may ask for evidence of towing suitability, towing insurance position, prior towing experience, vehicle towing limit, or other checks required by our insurer before approving collection.

4. Collection, handover and return

Collection and return are from the agreed NP26 pickup point. Exact pickup details are shared after booking is confirmed and required payment, paperwork and checks are complete. At collection, we may refuse handover if the vehicle, towbar, driver, paperwork, payment, towing insurance or safety checks are not satisfactory.

At handover, we will record the sauna condition, equipment and safety instructions. You are responsible for the sauna and all associated equipment from collection until return and final inspection.

The sauna must be returned on time, clean, complete, undamaged and in the same general condition as at collection, allowing for fair wear and tear.

5. Use restrictions

The sauna may be used only at the agreed private location and only for private use by the agreed group. You must have permission from the landowner or property owner.

For campsites, holiday lets or managed sites, written owner or manager permission must be provided before approval. Permission should confirm that a trailer-mounted wood-fired sauna is allowed, including any fire, wood-fired appliance, parking, access, overnight security, smoke, spacing and recovery-access rules.

You must not:

• move the sauna to another location without written permission,
• allow an unapproved driver to tow the sauna,
• use the sauna for a public event, sub-hire, commercial booking or large party unless agreed in writing,
• modify, overload, repair or tamper with the sauna, trailer, stove, flue or safety equipment,
• burn unapproved wood or materials.

6. Safety and health

You must follow the safety guide and all handover instructions. A responsible adult must be present whenever the sauna is in use. Under-16s may only use the sauna with direct adult supervision, and sauna use is not recommended for children under 10. Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Users must remove shoes before entering, sit on a towel, and remove jewellery, watches and metal items before use. The stove, sauna stones and flue become extremely hot and must not be touched. If anything is not working as it should, you must contact us immediately and must not attempt to repair it yourself. The sauna must be locked when not in use.

Sauna use may not be suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, blood pressure issue, mobility concern, medical condition or have been advised to avoid heat exposure, seek medical advice before use.

7. Cancellations and changes

We try to keep cancellations fair and practical. If you need to change your dates, please tell us as early as possible.

• 14 days or more before collection: refund or free reschedule.
• 7-13 days before collection: one reschedule where possible, or 50% refund.
• 48 hours-6 days before collection: 25% of the hire fee will be retained.
• Less than 48 hours before collection: no refund.

If we cannot provide the sauna for reasons within our control, you will receive a refund or the option to reschedule. If handover cannot proceed because your vehicle, towbar, towing insurance, payment, paperwork or driver checks are incomplete or unsuitable, we may retain reasonable costs or any non-refundable booking payment already agreed.

8. Liability

You are responsible for safe towing, safe use, the agreed location, supervision of users, and the sauna and equipment during the hire period. You are responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by misuse, unsafe towing, breach of these terms or failure to follow instructions.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, our liability is limited to the hire fee paid for the booking.

9. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, vehicle issues, illness, power or communication failure, or safety restrictions. We will offer a fair reschedule or refund where appropriate.

10. Photography

We may take photos of the sauna at collection or return for condition records. We will not use identifiable people in marketing without consent.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
